Posted here for posterity. CFC has a love-hate relationship with the site's annual Christmas theme. Some people love the special holiday skin; others can't stand it, and opt to switch to the default colour scheme ASAP, if they're not using one of the others already. The one inescapable constant is the appearance of Santa hats on a number of the emoticons. Last year (December '10) a fellow forumer posted a few "corrected" xmas smilies in Site Feedback.
