  • Bestial Human Hummingbird Hand drawn Ink art by William McAusland, writing by Colin Chapman

The smallest of the bestial human birds, hummingbirds are hyperactive omnivores with a love of all things sweet. Though frequently sporting attractive plumage, their need to consume their own bodyweight in protein and sugars every day means they are constantly on the lookout for food and are considered undesirable guests. As a result, they are seldom welcomed into human communities even when accompanied by humans and human mutants, and must often be covertly carried into a settlement by slipping inside a large companion’s backpack and bedroll.
Humanoid hummingbirds can fly with their wing-arms (28m per round) but cannot use their hands while doing so; their wings simply beat far too rapidly. They can use a weapon while in the air, but can’t flap their wings while doing so. If they stop, they will plummet to the ground at a rate of 10m per round.

  • As their name implies, these stealthy, modestly sized units appear as males or females of exceptional fitness, although not large and so are more easily able to blend in with a civilian population. Masters of camouflage, concealment and marksmanship, these deadly units make for exceptional new era excavators. Each has 1d4 skill points in each of the following skills: stealth, Lock picking, tracking, climbing and the sniper skill. 77% of these units have built in standard communicator in their heads and like the covert android, can carry on conversations within their head with other operators without being heard by nearby personnel. Sniper androids have built in telescopic vision with which they can see 40 times further than a human by day and 10 x further at night, with advanced night vision optics built into their eyes.

  • Zofie Orel, Character details. My augmented Assassin from 2029.

All Zofie’s augments are Sarif made, though unbranded. Her family’s wealth and connections to Sarif meant that she got the finest custom augs for her ‘work’. Some are unique to the Assassin order. (TLDR - Sarif knows about the Assassin Order through Zofie’s mother who used to work for the company. He decided to help them under the radar.)
She was escaping an ambush on her bike but a Templar hunter shot the bike with a rocket sending it into the air and against another vehicle. She was crushed by the impact and it was only the fast acting work of her father and another Assassin that she survived in a short term cryo stasis pod. She had already agreed that should the worst happen she would be willing to be augmented, but she woke finding so much had changed. It took her a year to fully recover and work her new augs. Taking up silver-smithing to help train her fingers in fine motor skills.

    Augmentation details -

    * Hidden blade augmented arms. Pearlescent white arms with gold touches and a secret hidden pointed nanoblade in each arm. Finest detailing in her finger tips allows for nano reactions that she can turn up or down to suit her mission. Non neutonian fluid in her 'muscles' allow for some damage limitation from projectiles but otherwise are soft as silk to the touch. One of Sarif’s finest work next to Jensen’s arms.
    * Dermal Rhino armour under her skin. That was probably the most painful augment to deal with, but one of the most useful.
    * Infolink directly connected to her eyes and cochlea bone. Can speak covertly and directly without need for phone. Linked to a drone, she has called Zrak ( Czech for vision).
    * S.P.I.N. social pheromone interference nullifier. She does not have social augments but she does have a system that can detect it’s usage on her. The aug also prevents coercion of the mental and chemical variety.
    * Sentinel health system. Allows rebreathing through gas and underwater. Monitors her health and helps repair injury and prevent illness.
    * Augmented legs. She lost these in the motorbike crash and had to have full hip to toe augmented legs installed. With Klipspringer mod that allows her to jump much higher and run faster, and Gecko mod that enables parkour climbing abilities .
    * Glass shield, with enhanced battery life. Hide in plain sight. Easier than finding a bench and trying to blend in.
    * Wraith gas projectile augment in upper arms and elbows. Acts as smokescreen during combat and also drops enemies not wearing masks.
*A form of Icarus landing, called Descent of Faith as in cities now there are no hay bales or leaf mounds to land in. She has only ever done one true Leap of Faith into water during her initiation in London. Wing like golden energy vortexes spring from her spine and act like a parachute to slow her descent to safe limits no matter how high she jumps from.
    * Eagle Eye synthetic eyes - Similar to the Eyeknow augment, allows her to see through buildings but also allows her to directly interface with her drone Zrak, linked to her infolink, so she can see through it’s cameras. Allowing her to see from high above a situation and mark targets with smart scan. Even more obviously synthetic than Jensen’s eyes. the irises are golden yellow like an eagles and the extra sclera lense circle is visible. These replaced her lost natural ability to see through her falcon Ghost’s eyes.

Thanks to the ISU DNA she has, she doesn’t need as much Neuropozyne as usual, though she does still need it occasionally.

    Combat Outfit details -
The Body suit, hood and trousers are made with a spidersilk materials that is stronger than Kevlar, but lighter, more flexible and can stop more projectiles.
The Hood is also made with Flashback 2.0 reflective material that prevents facial recognition from cameras and drones. It’s obscures her features even through digital scanning. It is a semi rigid hood that folds back like a woodlice carapace.
The Boot’s soles contain Sorbothane, which is a high impact non neutonian material that prevents damage to her boots and feet when landing heavily.
There is a charge and carry port on the back of her utility belt that Zrak attaches to when not flying.

(note unless i use the same names of augments as in game, the other augment names are my design and creation. Please do not copy without permission.)

  • Meet Molly. She's a seamstress, and takes great pride in her work.
Molly enjoys sewing, cosplay, blueberry muffins, and rhythm games. She also spends inordinate amounts of time at the library, though whether to read, or to covertly ogle the librarian remains to be seen (not that you heard that from me :P)

A special thanks to Medral for finding her name (albeit by accident ^^)

  • The *Volksreich der Frau* (lit. "People's Empire of Woman") was Terran Empress' country in *Roll II Rule*, a syncretic mashup of Holy Roman electorate, democratic socialism, and militant feminism, with a dash of Romanian Vampire Masquerade in a nod to Ailedhoo's fantasy-France. Encompassing most of the territory of the HRE, at game's start it was the strongest player state in terms of both latent power and standing army, inspiring a [running gag](https://i.postimg.cc/prk3YxZS/volksroll.jpg) in chat sessions around the "[Volksroll](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SW-EanyHJF8)". This was counterbalanced, however, by a bureaucracy so sprawling that the country had three dedicated capitals (Berlin, Munich, and Cologne, representing the three main ideological pillars).

Ironically, Terra never rolled out in full before retiring from the game: Germany dispatched an expedition to support [Namibia](https://inkblot.art/post/CdRmn08XDWfcWYLmASlL) in the Third American Civil War, but subsequent NPC intervention in the Mediterranean crisis was thwarted by the [*Kaiserreich* roster](https://kaiserreich.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Political_Ideologies) of parties suffering parliamentary deadlock when a scandal erupted over the Silvanians courting the increasingly unstable Majterre for covert political support; when the "Heretics' Crusade" began its invasion of France, the Magical Rights Party attempted to spark a constitutional crisis to prevent the Volksreich from mobilizing.
