Here's a scene where the Great Lord of Mohannor fights for his realm and his people.

Yes he goes to fight with his bare chest and he's wounded here. X'D Unrealistic armor or fanservice? Maybe both? Not worse than barbarian fantasy I'd say... *cough cough*
More seriously, dark mages rely more on magical barrier and such, rather than physical armor in itself. Most of the metalic parts are enchanted anyway.
It's pretty efficient usually, but something must have gone wrong here...

And don't mess with him when he fights for his people... just a friendly advice. :D

  • While Sieg is trained in the use of any number of weapons, and always carries a sword with him as a precaution when out in public, his favorite weapon is a warhammer. He likes the weight and heft of it, the duel utility of the flat and pick ends, and the fact that it basically renders any armor his opponents might be wearing moot.

  • Sometimes, in an attempt to Bamboozle™ Tam, when she mentions a character of hers I'll sneakily draw them. In this case, she mentioned her Leonin Paladin she was working on - but she didn't have any token art at the time. So, I scuttled away to Photoshop and threw this together. She gets as many revisions as she pleases when the picture is revealed to her (originally, for example, Caerulean was wearing a basic tunic before we figured out her armor!)

Caerulean is a Leonin Paladin, of the Sanguinary Pride - A rather nasty bunch. But she's nice!

  • The final character entry for DnDecember is the Lorica Praetor, which is what I started my entire year-long journey of the 1 Hour Daily Sketches, which had went on an unbroken streak the entire time.

I had contemplated various character for the occassion, including other people's character (which you can see on the WIP version being someone else' PC's name), until I decided to bookend things with the one whom I started with.

She hadn't got a name, but she is a Lorica subspecies of the Praetor, the most humanoid looking but also the most naturally armored, with her accessorizing her carapace with gold chains and rings.

Maybe one day she gets to be a character in a story or a campaign I ran...

Need to simplify her design first though.

But still... from a colorless pencil sketch that took an entire hour to draw, to fully flat colored and partially shaded in an hour. I've progressed far, and even though the year was full of trials and tribulations, I can at least say I have improved further than I was before at the start of the year.

  • This was one of my favorite topics for the Exalted Art Challenge I participated in during October. Inspired by the Exalted TTRPG from Onyx Path Publishing, this art event always gives me an excuse to experiment with new techniques and styles.

For this topic, I got carried away with the idea of Chiaroscuro glass. These remnants of the magnificent buildings of the city of old Chiaroscuro magically retain their luster and strength and are usually used for armor, weapons, and other utilitarian purposes. But I figure why not armor AND a gown for my gal, Kalara?

This practice piece represents a new style I've been attempting to evolve with soft vs hard elements a la Klimt/Tarot.

    - Watch a timelapse of this piece [here](https://youtu.be/bQDvZPv0hkQ)

  • I did a breakdown on the Ranger Javelin from Anthem. I noticed a few things: the armored areas are all focused on where the person stays inside and has less protection in all other areas. The suit is not overly complex and seems easy to maintain. Many decisions on the suit seem to be grounded in the joints and actual functionality of the parts. Anthem is a game I like so I will definitely go into the other three Javelins.

  • A wardrobe sheet commission of a certain Nesryn Mahariel that I worked on this summer. I had a lot of fun redesigning the commander armor!

  • A golden chariot flew in the sky, being pulled by two Pegasi covered in golden armor. A young Elf girl in a scholar uniform sat in the back of the chariot, her arms hanging over the edge, and a displeased expression on her face. Next to her was a young dragon named Spike. Spike was about 4 feet in height; his scales were a light mulberry, his chin and the underside tail were a light spring bluish grey. Spike's spikes were green, structured much like a mohawk, and his reptilian eyes were pistachio. Spike held a letter in his claws, reading off from the message.

"My dear Twilight, there is more to a young person's life than studying. So I am sending you to supervise preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration in this year's location: Ponyville. I also have an even more essential task for you to complete," Spike sat closer to the Elf girl, "make some friends!"

The Elf slumped her head down after hearing the last part of the letter sent by Celestia.

"Look on the bright side Twilight. The princess arranged for you to stay in a library! Doesn't that make you happy?" Spike asked, attempting to lighten up Twilight's mood.

"Yes," Twilight shot up, "Yes, it does. You know why? Because I'm right. I'll supervise the preparations as fast as I can, then get to the library to find some proof on Nightmare Moon's return."

"Then, when will you make friends like the princess said?" Spike asked, concerned about where this was going.

"She said to check on preparations. I am her student and I'll do my royal duty. But the fate of Equestria does not rest on me making friends." Twilight countered.

  • Hello, I'm Lynx!

This is a collection of images to quickly showcase the various mediums and my general style for commissioned work. I work digitally and traditionally, be it graphite or copic markers on the traditional side. I also do NSFW work and am open to drawing heavily armored or mecha characters, as well as humanoids/furries or animals.

Some of the pieces in this will be found in my gallery, as I wanted to create a quick portfolio to show off while also displaying them in full within my works later.

I enjoy doing character reference sheets and drawing fantasy themed things, as well as icons, group shots, or detailed shots of characters. I'm open to new ideas and projects that encourage me to develop my skills further.

My TOS and general commission pricing can be found[ here](https://lynxofthenight.carrd.co/). I typically work based off a general _commission size + detail level + extras = final price_ format for commissioned pieces but I also am open to discussion as I understand my format might not work for every person looking to commission me.

If you're interested in my work, or would like to simply ask questions please feel free to send me a message. I'm happy to chat and will respond to any messages I receive as quickly as possible.

Thanks for stopping in and have a good day!

EDIT: Ah. If there's a way for me to equalize the size of all the images without making a whole new post, could someone please let me know?

Read JoyfullGamer and I's story at: https://www.quotev.com/story/15417411/Royal-Revolution/1

She was a flame in the crowd of black and white. The queen looked down at her with wrath behind those eyes, she could not believe how this girl disobeyed every rule thrown her way. Though deep down this wrath was more like envy, she could never tear apart traditional ways like Phoenix could. Phoenix was braver than an army of men clad in armor could ever be. Phoenix was more than a flame she was a roaring fire ready to set flame to anything that stood in her way. She will set the world on fire and rebuild it in her own vision.
