  • I wanted to clip a horse. So I chose a poor victim who's in work and has an uniform enough color for me to practice on and ta-da, Moira lost some fur :D I did not expect to make such a full background for it like I did but then it just started developing and the little shaved fur was the cherry on top. Training doesn't stop, not even during winter, so to make everything easier we clip and blanket horses that are seriously in training - this year it's mostly our racers, the dressage and eventing horses usually have the extra time it takes to cool off.

  • Let's make some flyball titles, I said. Except I had 0 idea what flyball is and only thought to check after I had the image ready, so, epic fail, but at least Naddie now has a random general art which is just as well with me, I want my dogs to be used and loved.

Officially the last art of 2020 because I just finished the background quickly - I'm excited because I'm doing something new for watermark this year! And yes. I'm absolutely crap at trees this is the most effort I could get out of it I have no idea what trees are even supposed to look like. Also no idea where this is on my ranch, dogs are not exactly set up yet but I can't be bothered to draw every single thing realistically in the background, like, epic nope XD

  • Some more everyday life thing that I wanted to draw in my HARPG. Uni became crazy busy and I have 0 time or energy to draw so this was first sketched out in February... but I already knew it would only get done in Autumn. I value groundwork and natural horsemanship a lot in real life so I wanted to show it in HARPG as well, thus why I drew this pic of Sandra getting Nanook used to the plastic bag, and I plan on doing some more groundwork training with some horses, mainly the huculs. This pic here was referenced in pose from my own pic of my own horse who is half hucul, which is why sometimes huculs will be getting the fun stuff in HARPG.

Anyways, it might be a very quiet year for Lovelyta because I'm absolutely snowed under until May x_x I'll try to get the bare minimum out but this wasn't even fun to finish, I just pushed through it. I'm just tired and drained and don't have the time. But, enjoy this little snippet <3

  • Kinda behind on LR art and stuff and... everything. But I really wanted to draw Roman being retrained as a cross country horse now that he's retired from racing! The "old man" still has lots of GO which proves to be a challenge out on the course as it's not just breezing through but also having to pay attention to the jumps. It turns out Roman has a knack for jumping when he does pay attention so once he gets used to his new lifestyle, he should be good at this! However, we don't see much future for him in dressage or show jumping because he just lacks the patience, so eventing is probably out of the question.

As you see, Hope became the new rider to Roman, as she has the experience to enjoy such a challenge. Riding an ex-racer, what fun! I imagine Tom is sad to have to say goodbye to such a great horse, but he can always visit and have a go when he misses Roman too much.

  • I was so thrilled with my new pony that I needed to draw her! Finally I have a normal-colored friesian x3 So I can make something black and shinyyyy.

Jess took her newest charge, Nova out for a bit of a dressage training to see what level the mare was and how well they could work together. Even though Nova was still very new and not yet fully settled in, she did a good job and is a promising dressage competitor! She will be allowed some more settling in and then start training to start taking part in competitions.

Doing my new sketchy lineart style with my harpg too. I kinda like it, at this point I just do what I like as I got c:

  • A kinda old sketch I scavenged and decided to finish, Mason having a sleep on Nanook. Well, poor Nanook is in a pretty bad shape as he fractured a leg and had to spend a lot of time inside, so it's nice of our cat to entertain him. Really a big shame about Nanook as the hucul program was just starting and we would've preferred some more active competitors, but who knows, maybe this means more imports in the near future!

  • a nice little training sheet for Cyclon to show how natural horsemanship is being implemented into the day-to-day working of Lovelyta. Besides the quality breeding and the professional training, we also put a huge emphasis on bonding, especially for endurance horses as they are heavily relied on during an event. Huculs are overall a very multipurpose breed, so it's good to show as many side as possible.

Cyclon wasn't too find of the new training idea, but eventually did work together with Sandra.
