I created a redesign of Mike Wheeler's basement in Stranger Things!
This redesign includes both an afternoon version and an "Upside Down" version. A reimagined version of a 2020 illustration that I created titled "Celine's Bedroom," now featuring myself and some of my favorite things!
This artwork was created to get a glimpse at how much I've improved since the entire world shut down in 2020. Like most of you, I grew up watching Ghibli movies and absolutely adore the stories, characters, and artistry that goes into each one. Minimalistic illustration inspired by the visual kei band Alice Nine! The second image features clearer views of each card design.
Each card is a reference to their beautiful discography. The theme of the back of the card is “the beautiful name” with Number Six, Zekkeishoku, and Gemini references. The first card has references to Blue Planet, Number Six, and one of my favorite eras—Kasou Musou Shi (華想夢想紙)!
