What is a rectangle if not a weird square?

Based on trashy_jpg's challenge on artfol (basically to make boxes and doodle in them, with a max of 3 colors)

I'm not a huge doodler, but i thought this challenge sounded like a fun way to just do some sketching, both for fun and for practice. it was also a fun way to chellnege myself to using only 3 colors. it's not the first time i've used such a limited palette, but it's certainly something i can get better at. this specific palette is a slightly altered version of the death valley palette by atb man (u can find it on lospec.com)

anyway on the left is one of my ocs (briar), the middle is just some hand sketches, and the right is a rather grumpy self portrait of sorts. i do wanna work on drawing more diverse people (both in skin tone and body type), it just wasn't something i was fully able to realize here
