These beasts stood as tall as a human, and are the predecessors to modern-day badgers. There is or has been an Ancestor for every species, even before humans, and yet their human appearance has always been how they looked. Whatever all powerful being created them seemed to at some point decide that this was the ideal anatomy for their next species, and that species has thrived ever since. Ancestors became the blueprint for humankind, albeit weak. No one knows if there is an Ancestor for the humans, as they haven't ever seen or heard of them.
