We all know the story of Cinderella but we forget the original tale. There was a girl named Ella sadly by the age of 7 her mother passed away leaving her solely in her father's care. He remarried on her 9th birthday her step mother but she found out she had two step sisters as well. A week after the marriage her step family started abusing her, treating her like a maid and taking her nice dresses. Her father stepped in at first trying to protect her but over the years of his own abuse from his new wife. He gave up and just let the abuse happen. This started him to grow distant from his daughter causing hate from a spirit outside as a tree started to grow from it. It was Ella mother once a pure spirit now a demon out for blood.
Be nice Ella, be kind Ella is all she really remembered from her mother. It became hard. All that was nice to her in secret was her younger step sister Anastasia giving her old ripped clothing and giving her the name cinderella. This kind act might’ve saved Anastasia in the end as she really did care for Ella just couldn’t show it.
When the prince's invite came Anastasia saw a hazel tree on Ella's mother grave but had a bad feeling. As she read the invites she saw it was going to be a 3 ball event for each night.
Deciding to do something nice for her step sister she pretended to lose 3 dresses and put them on the tree for Ella luckily her mother bought this lie. The first night went as well as it could she saw Ella there having fun dancing with the prince it put a smile on her face, but things would soon turn sour as she got a strange note from a odd source. It said “ go to the ball alone thank you for taking care of my daughter. I shall take care of the rest.” This gave her a chill as it had the same writing as Ella’s mom's old letters she left her daughter. She went early as the letters suggested but didn’t see Ella. She rushed home before the ball ended, seeing Ella bloody and at peace sleeping on the fireplace. Around her was 3 chopped up bodies: her step father, mother and sister.
She understood what happened. Ella's mother spirit wasn’t pure at all but it was a demon tempting her. She cleaned up Ella and put the ax in a sleeping cook hand so he would go to prison but not her step sister. Next day they ran off together with Anastasia understanding the truth will be revealed soon Ella would be certainly put to death for her crimes. This she wouldn’t allow as she knew Ella didn’t understand what she did as it was a blind rage. They moved to a different kingdom, married dukes and became safe.
Anastasia wondered how it would’ve ended if Cinderella just went to the ball.. If Cinderella married the prince. She knew her step sister would be happier but now they are living with the fact the murders did happen. This was their life now stuck in hiding. She missed her mother, her sister dearly but she knew cinderella rage was building for a while and warned them but didn’t listen. The only reason she survived was she was kind to her step sister and helped her when she could and she was grateful for it as Cinderella smiled with her new husband. Completely unaware who she was supposed to be with. But soon she would need to deal with a devil just to save Cinderella from prison through golden thread.
