Whispers in the Forest
(Contemporary fantasy)
"In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by dense forests, stands a little nameless town. The kind you only find when lost off the highway and have driven for several miles. In this town, the land is mysteriously barren and no children are able to be born. Due to this, the locals have grown unfriendly and have congregated around a divine figure they call the Angel of the Forest. A supposedly mystical wolf with snow white fur and piercing red eyes. It is said to protect them from the shadowy beast that follows it and has caused them all their strife. It's shadow.
Genesis, a young girl that lives in the town, is ostracised by the citizens due to the fact she had been the only child born there in many years. Their hatred of her grows when one night she is attacked by the so-called angel. She is only saved when it's Shadow steps in and rescues her. Dubbed an omen because of this, she longs to follow the call of the forest to learn the truth as to her own existence.
Little does she know that something else grows deep within the forest, watching her from the shadows, and threatening to consume everything she is."
Aiming for a 2023 release.
