I decided to do some pencil drawing, while laptop and monitor are packed away.
I've also seen a few people online actually take a pencil drawing and add some effects digitally, and I really wanted to give it a go, with a new character I've made!
I'm pretty happy with the results, though I might need a bit more practice with this technique as well as relearning how to draw on my phone again, lol.
Anyway, meet my new character, Axlan!
She is the goddess of winter, death, and omens and plays a big part in Lillith's story!
I do want to point out that scars, big or small, are quite significant to how a character became a god in this world. Think of it almost like a death mark, that every born God is stuck with.
There are also 2 types of gods in this story; The Made have been gifted god-hood by another god before them and will retain the powers and title of what that god had, however these gods do age, slower then most humans, but they will die eventually, and then there are Born gods; Born gods are people who have died brutally in some sort of genocide, and have absorbed the souls of the recent dead around them and when they're reborn, they'll have a scar on their body showing how they've died. These gods are extremely rare by the time Lilliths story starts, as the conditions to make them are extremely hard to perfect, and you won't ever know who will be picked next. These gods don't age either, so the only way for them to die is if another god kills them or they gift their life to another, hence The Made.
Axlan is a Born God and is over 8000 years old. She carries the weapons that killed her and takes the souls of the dying and helps guide them to their next life. She is often seen in battlefields, collecting the dead. However, if seen before the battle starts, the direction she faces will decide the tide of war. (ie. She faces the enemy, you'll win. If she faces you, you'll lose.)
She refuses to pass on her title in fear of making a god who loves to kill and believes that her Title is nothing more than a burden to others. Besides, who would want to live being constantly feared and hated just for keeping the natural order of things.
That was a lot of text. I'm sorry for anyone who actually reads my lore ramblings lmao. But thank you if you did, I'm quite excited to tell this story and bits and pieces of the world my characters live in, still not quite sure how I'll tell the story tho which is annoying :/
