Can think of no better true first upload here than this piece of digital art that ended up remarkably similar to the Bajoran Wormhole right before it opens from the classic science-fiction show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

The Celestial Temple, as it was called, was the home of Prophets, a group of non-corporeal aliens worshipped by the Bajoran people who did not experience time in the usual fashion. The wormhole also connected the Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant.

This was created in Affinity Photo (techically Affinity Photo 2), appropriately enough by editing a different nebula starscape, so this wormhole is a literal distortion of that starscape. This is a reduced-size version, but still big enough to work as a potential desktop background or for background images in documents and presentations.
