Liquorice was an aspiring baker in the Sweet Sweet Kingdom, but she can't make such good sweets. Therefore, many people make fun of her saying that she is a failure and that she was not born for that. She felt sad because instead of helping her, everyone decreased her completely. Over time, her heart felt more bitter after several failures and beyond the contempt she received from people, so she had to leave the kingdom holding a grudge against those who did not believe her. One day a mysterious man named Lord Sour appeared to her saying that he felt involved with her situation and said that he would help to make her dreams come true and take revenge on the people who despised her in exchange for joining her army in order to dominate the Kingdom Sweet Sweet. She accepted without further ado and Lord Sour offered a magical sweet mace as her weapon. Since then, it has come to be known as Liquorice the Poisoned Sweetness.
