Born in Goldenrod City, Maylin and her Raichu, Raymond, are like siblings to each other. May (age 7) found him in the Yellow Forest as a "fresh out the coochie" Pichu. He followed her home where the two of them were raised as siblings due to her parents being indifferent about having another kid. Raymond had the misfortune of evolving into a Raichu overnight due to him snooping around in his parents' bedroom and picking up a thunder stone as a lvl3 Pikachu. 3yrs later the two set out on their Pokemon journey, retiring at the age of 25 due to health issues on Raymonds part.
