Now at long last, here is the original design in all its glory just like it was on DeviantArt since this was first released originally in _early 2008_... wowwww, that was QUITE more than a whole decade ago!!!
Entitled “***Quicksand Spirits of the Salt***”, it is in such a truly gloriously special and even more fascinating fantasy card- or tarot-like form, with the art itself of the two living elemental beings — Aseldrik of water, and Oasia of earth and sand — slowly becoming Quicksand Spirits themselves an utterly masterful treat for mature adult audiences... and oh, did I mention about the little, subtle details about the couple themselves — I will tell you more about that right here in my very first Detail Close-Up for this piece that starts for you through this link right now: https://inkblot.art/post/zKG0VsQUO2doKgQ8jM2Q.
Also, let me add just one important note to this design... as for the lovemaking in this creamy sabkha quicksand between Aseldrik and Oasia in the middle of this ever-immensely huge and always pleasantly warm desert landscape, my MAIN inspiration for this scene happens to be no less than _Suna no Onna_ — “砂の女” as the original title over in Japan — which was originally a 1962 Japanese novel by Kôbô Abe that was made just a couple of years later into a visually unforgettable film directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara and written for the screen by the very same author of the book itself.
