What would happen if the witch who raised Rapunzel was good? What would change and would rapunzel magic still show itself when the time is right?
Once upon a time there was a witch named Gothal that was taking care of her pregnant daughter n law while her son was out working with pride. She had adopted her son because she couldn’t have children of her own and was wanting a family. She made her daughter n law cabbage soup everyday to keep her nice and healthy. Soon her baby would be born with the most beautiful green eyes. The daughter n law would smile and call her Rapunzel as her eyes were beautiful. The son was nervous however as the green eyes could get his little girl killed if seen. His fears would soon be reality as a mob would march toward their home with rope and torches. He shoved his daughter in his mother's arms and cried as they ran. They would die without seeing their daughter ever again. Burnt at the stake in fact as Gothal would hold her granddaughter crying. She ran to a tower and saw it was safe to raise her there.
18 years later Gothal would smile at her grandchild as Rapunzel had her father's golden hair. Tho it was long as they couldn’t cut it as often as they hoped so they braided it everyday so it would never get dirt. Rapunzel loved being with her grandmother as she got stories of her father and mother. It was her 18th birthday and the two went into the city to prepare for dinner. It wasn’t too common to see them together. They were accepted there by everyone. A prince from another town would fall in love with Rapunzel's beauty and kind heart. He soon followed the two the tower and knocked after they put everything. Gothal would answer and got curious why he was there. He wanted to ask for Rapunzel's hand in marriage as she was the most beautiful in the land. She however said no as she didn’t want her granddaughter just to marry anyone. She wanted her granddaughter to marry for love.
The prince didn’t like this and went to his kingdom to frame her as a witch that kidnapped Rapunzel not knowing it would be his end. Gotham was a witch but a good one that helped anyone that would need it and the city they lived in knew this. They would testify that she was good and pure. The rival kingdom would not hear it saying no witch is good and witchcraft was of the devil and prisoned her and killed her the next day. Rapunzel was watching and something reacted in her as she cried from behind her bush. Vines reacted by killing the prince kingdom as her magic was out of control; she ran back as her city calmed her down and got her magic under check. They taught her how to use her magic and she became the guardian witch of the land. She wouldn’t allow anyone to harm her city or friends.
“ princes are trash… they all deserve the suffering they get!” Rapunzel with rage in her eyes.
