Daisy Mai is a simple woman living a simple yet difficult life. Her parents had died of disease, and she was raised in an orphanage where she was mistreated by the staff and other children. When she reached adulthood, she lived by herself, but felt lonely and self-conscious about her looks. She was isolated from the nearest village of Tanawin, both socially and physically, as she lived just outside of the village, at the edge of the forest. One fateful day, while in the forest, Daisy encountered an injured person named Lirio. She took him home to help him, and soon, they fell in love and got married, taking care of ducklings they called their children.
