You can feel it run down your spine, that uneasy chill as if eyes were watching you. You're not sure if it's the cold, frigid air or the fear gripping your heart that's making your body shiver against your will. You take a hasty step, moving a little faster through the trees only illuminated by the bright full moon overhead. The hoot of a nearby owl makes you jump and you quickly glance over your shoulder once into the darkness. A sudden low rumbling growl chills your blood as you move into a frightened run. The beating of large wings fills your ears and you panic, tripping over a fallen log. The clouds above wash over the moon, stealing away the last bit of light just as a darker shadow looms over you. You flip onto your back just in time to lock eyes with the glowing red orbs of a great, black winged wolf above you. Sharp, white teeth glint brightly against the darkness. Brilliant orange flames dance around its body as you draw one final breath. You are sure it's the final thing you'll ever see. END SCENE. Ahh man, it feels good to write something! Just a little piece to set the mood UGH I hate that instagram trashed that third pic. WHY 😭😭😭 What a BEAST this piece was to finish! It took me 30 hours and 46 minutes to get it all finished and honestly, I am quite proud and happy with the result! It's my half of an art trade with my friend @shiinrai and their amazing character, Ookami! And guess what! This doubles as a birthday gift since it's their birthday today as well! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
