So since his world takes place during Aladdin to return of Jafar and Aladdin 3 King of thieves.

During Aladdin's wedding he was actually supposed to attend but accidentally gets mixed up with a confused Good witch and she ends up turning him into a Monkey for supposedly stealing her special item although throughout the story she significantly finds out that he's not a bad guy and he would never steal anything.

Some stuff happens down the road and it turns out that she can no longer transform him back into a human that they're going to need help from the genie although unbeknownst to both of them genie was let go of his abilities a long time ago... When they find out about this they actually try asking Jafar but instead Asif is actually I guess you can say bamboozled in a way and is permanently stuck as a primate...he ends up making alot friends along the way.
