Back at the beginning of August, I donated a commission slot for the Moonguard-US Tournament of Ages event. Here we have the second and final piece crafted for the winner. It features their Kul Tiran Death Knight, Damalten. In life Damalten was a mercenary, he was hired to retrieve an artifact. In the end, he was ultimately betrayed. Damalten and his crew were murdered. Eventually, Damalten was raised into undeath as a Death Knight and now roams the world seeking out those who had wronged him.

While Damalten wears full plate armor, I wanted to produce a piece that shows who he was but also, who he is presently. Also an art piece that reflects his rage! That's when an old Hellraiser comic book cover came immediately to mind. One where Hunger is sailing the high seas!

What better way to demonstrate rage then a fierce storm at sea?! Everything really fell into place with this art piece; I also learned how to animate rain. Wait, but this specific piece isn't moving?! Since the auction winner has been so patient with me while private life keeps throwing curves, I made them a bonus animated version of this piece. It will be uploaded here as well, if Inkblot will let me.
