"Who's the captain of this'ere space boat?" the large, gruff stranger enquired, dropping his hefty suitcase & raising his eyes to the wolf sat above him.
"Depends who's asking?" the wolf replied, turning his radiant blue eyes to meet the stranger's.
"Dakner" he replied, eyes tracing the wolf as he climbed down from the ship's thruster. "I'm looking for engineering work, and I smell an engine in need."
Up close the wolf didn't seem particularly wolf like. At least, none that he'd ever seen before. He was compact, with bioluminescent eyes that matched the equally odd crystalline growths poking out from behind his head. Very strange indeed, and certainly a topic of conversation worth having later.

The wolf's expression turned to one of curiosity. Sensing this, Dakner cleared his throat before pointing up to the aforementioned thruster with his large paw.
"Residue, right? It's coming from a misfire in the secondary cooler. The coolant is bleeding into the main reaction mix and disrupting the Auric field," he analysed. "At that speed, those errant particles must be doing a bunch of damage to the main engine torus, and while you must be losing power, you're also risking microfractures."
The wolf cocked an eyebrow as if to say "how did you know", before smiling and with a nod of approval extended his hand.
"The name's Winty," The wolf shared, "and Welcome to the Rubricauda."
