I thought giving an insight into my design choices would be fun!
Starting from the left and going right

**Rarity:** Rarity was the first pony i drew, she's my personal favourite and I just wanted to doodle her for fun. I like typical unicorn traits like cloven hooves, feathering and beards. But for rarity and the general my little pony show style. I didn't give her, or Twilight, cloven hooves to just keep it neat and simple. I didn't give her featherings as I feel like she likes to look slender and sleek. Save for the beard because I feel like she would rock a nice unicorn beard and it compliments her hair.

**Applejack:** Applejack was the second pony I drew since she's my second favourite. I give her a very strong thick body as she kicks trees daily. I give her some fuzzy hair at her hooves because I thought it suited her and overall I made her pretty much like her brother. I gave her a shorter tail as I feel like she would keep it quite neatly short as to not get in the way of her work, like you know... Kicking trees (I could imaging with a longer tails she would kick it by accident lol)

**Pinkie Pie:** I knew from the get go that Pinkie Pie was going to be the shortest and roundest of them all. It suits her so well to look all bubbly. I made her hair look like candy floss and gave her some form of sprinkles for fun. The decision to give her a blue accent was purely for aesthetic reasons, but her best friend is Rainbow Dash, so I could imaging she would have a little piece of her in her mane :)

**Twilight Sparkle:** The last pony I drew, Twilight was a bit difficult to reimagine, though I did have some pint such as keeping her hair very straight and give her unicorn features like the fathering and beard. I could imagine she would be very proud of her traits as she likes Starswirl the bearded, but would want to keep it sharply trimmed and neat, wouldn't want it to get in the way of her reading. I gave her a purple snout for aesthetic choice as in my opinion she looked slightly off with just light purple.

**Rainbow Dash:** Despite Rarity being my favourite pony, Rainbow Dash's design here is my favourite. I gave her a little chip in her ear to signify that she often crashes during her stuns. Being a pegasus I gave her feathers on her hooves like Flutershy and her mane is swooped back because of all the wind, and also because her mature design from the show is so cute and nice looking. Her tail is the shortest and I debated to give her a long one as I could imagine she would love the look of her rainbow tail dragging behind her, but I just fell in love with the short tail too much that I couldn't resist giving it to her. I can imagine she cut most of it off to reduce drag in her speed lol.

**Fluttershy:** My good friend demanded that Fluttershy was the lankiest and tallest of them all, so I complied to their request. I also gave her a lot more hair to hide herself in and made her very thin to signify she's shy and fragile and not the greatest at strength or flight. Honestly her design was pretty straight forward. Simple but effective to say in my opinion.
