Let's start with the link, shall we? Please go sign the petition. We do not need another metaphorical Library of Alexandria moment.

So... Yeah, expect to see this petition again if my queue has not already posted it, but I made this little thing for my Instagram reels and thought it worth sharing for the amusement.
And what better representative for Big Media than a skeevy, blood sucking flea?
I grew up loving to read. I went to the local library in town often. I find knowledge to be important. And I am fully aware of how much amazing things are available on the Internet Archive. I've used the wayback machine to visit websites and iterations of websites that no longer exist. I've downloaded pdfs and music from this place. I've shared the archive with my father, who will find the manuals no longer in print for farm equipment helpful. I shared the musical selections with my nephew, who likes old rock and will enjoy the stuff he might not be able to find anywhere else.
This place is important not only for the consumption of media that would otherwise be lost, but it allows for fact checking and accountability. That kind of **** is important.
And I don't know about you but I'm not about to sit on my ass and allow Big Media to dictate what I can and cannot consume just because they're afraid they won't be able to put fuel in their yachts... Yeah I don't think so.
Book and Media burning is Book and Media burning, regardless of whether it's digital or physical.
