I think one of the funniest ways two of my OCs met is when Luin (half-elf dude) met Tristan (human embodiment of puppy excitment) through accidentally blowing up a tavern during a fight

Thankfully, no one was harmed (safe for the wall that now sports a new entrance), so the town's mayor was ready to let Luin go in exchange of a small fine and paying for the damages he caused. Or, since he was "one of those monster hunters", he could go hunt that fucking unicorn that's been plaguing the region for a few years now, haunting the forest and destroying their crops and livestock.

Luin, who knows very well that unicorns aren't a thing but didn't want to argue about their (non) existence, tried to explain that his specialty was more like exorcising spirits, and the mayor said that was fine, but then Luin needed to pay now, or he would enjoy a free tour of the town's jail

Which then led to the above exchange
