“V-Victoria…? The Locheshian called in vain as the trees swallowed the sound. She stepped backwards in worry, as her eyes darted through the thick foliage of the trees. The Forest of Fae was no place to visit; she knew that, she always did. The Faction Leaders continuously reminded the students of it, and how those who entered were not guaranteed to come out. Yet she went in, ignored all the signs, and simply strode into the claws of danger. She couldn’t even remember the reason she ventured into the forbidden woods, instead, she tried to recall the path she took to get there, in order to return to the outside of the forest. Her running thoughts were stopped in their tracks as soon as she saw a pair of large, yellow eyes staring at her from a tree.
A small Pawniard. It watched as she looked around, finding its pack members surrounding her, and blocking her route to freedom. A single Bisharp, seemingly the leader, stepped up behind them, glaring dangerously at the trespasser. It raised it’s clawed arm, and barked, what could be called an order, to the other pokemon. Who turned to the brunette, flinging themselves towards her. Wish grappled the hem of her dress and her feet automatically began to course away from the threatening bunch, running as fast and as far as she possibly could. Managing to lose them shortly, she kept running still.
It didn’t take long though before she was cornered against a large Cliffside wall, which seemed to stretch forever in both directions. A more nimble person would have been able to climb it, Wish however, was not that person. Not giving up hope she decided to try jumping to reach the ledge, unfortunately that was also of no use. As a kind of final resort, finding that the pack of Pawniards were starting to sound like they had tracked her down, and becoming too close for any sort of comfort, she screamed.
“HELP! SOMEONE!” She attempted to make her way by following the wall but soon was stopped by a Pawniard that would have stabbed her had she not moved back in time. She was furious at herself for leaving Osiris behind to guard her room, and she knew that Circe would be knocked out in a heartbeat if she were to try using her. Whilst she was surrounded by the Pawniards, she was ready to scream again, but was interrupted by someone else.
“Skye! Flamethrower!”
The command was followed by a streaming column of fire that forced the Pawniards to back off. The Bisharp however stood its ground although wary of the flames.
Wish searched for the source, and once she caught a glimpse of white and blue, that she nearly mistook for the sky, her eyes locked upon a large bird with a body made largely out of cloud like plumage.
“A-An Altaria?” She stammered as she looked at it in awe, not a moment later, her eyes caught a young man, with dark hair and marine eyes speeding towards her on the upper ledge that she had attempted to reach. He ended up pausing, however, at seeing the Pawniards number.
“oh, it looked like a lot less from farther away…” he mumbled before glancing down at the girl who called for help.
“Flower?!” he blurted upon seeing her
“Amadeus!?” She questioned, equally baffled, alas, the Pawniards regarded no intention in allowing them to converse, and began to attack the Altaria, who screeched spewing more fire upon them.
The man began to panic at seeing his pokemon getting attacked by the little creatures.
“H-Hey! Cut it out! Flamethrower, Skye! Use Flamethrower!!” He commanded, and the bird intensified the flames that it spouted from its mouth. It pushed the Pokémon back a little, but not quite enough to make them leave. The battle seemed hopeless for the pair of trespassers.
No one took note of it, however the wind was slowly starting to pick up, and leaves were beginning to fly.
A growl erupted from the higher ledge and in a flash of white and blue black, an Absol made its appearance, glaring hazardously. Its eyes glowing, and it seemed to be singing something, all that Wish and Deus were capable of hearing was him repeating his species name, over and over, however he was saying something much different. It was creating fear within the group of Sharp Blade Pokémon and caused them to start backing off. Before they got too far however, a type of collar had appeared upon the Absol’s neck, and it sprouted chains, that latched onto each Pokémon that heard his words. This unfortunately included Skye who in shock began to twist and turn, attempting to fly away. The chain stretched, but never broke or snapped off. The Bisharp didn’t seem quite so bemused and instead of fleeing like his minions he began to attack the Absol, attempting to knock it out before it could finish the melody. The Absol dodged with a hypnotized look, being very light on his feet and somewhat swaying. Here and there Wish could hear the Absol whispering… It wasn’t precise or clear. It sounded like it was whipped past her ear, as though it was a Radio that was switching between channels, going from snow to a clear station, and then moved back to snow. A difficult to make out “..Listen..” It didn’t make much sense to her, but she didn’t intend to question and simply watched as each of the Pawniards began to drop like flies in a poison cloud, as the Absol ended the final note. Skye dropped from the air and plummeted to the earth, not landing in any fatal manner luckily, however it caused a stunned yelp from its owner, who rushed to its side attempting to see if it was okay. Upon the song’s conclusion, the Absol collapsed among the unconscious bodies, the collar having seemingly affected him too.
