Qatal had been running for days, though it felt more like weeks, maybe even months. He had not stopped to rest, eat, or even drink. He couldn't.

Until he came across a strange new land. A valley, with only a single way in and out. From what little he could see it was lush and green, with mountains that may have surrounded the valley. Safe, and protected.

Of course, he wouldn't get that far. Exhausted, starving, and dehydrated, Qatal collapsed into a heap on the ground. Darkness began to cloud his vision. The cheetah believed this would be his end.

A sad way to die, truly.

Or is it?
