I gave my D&D party a guard drake, and offered them the choice of metallic dragon-based drakes as well, because why not? They voted for a brass guard drake (gold was a close second) and this was the design I came up with - it was interesting to try and follow someone else's design process, translating a dragon design into a wingless drake and striking a balance between keeping iconic elements and still having a very unique look.
