The Luufmaannen (wolf men) are a faction of the Vaathoolnmenskje (snow people). They are named such for their coats made from wolf skin. Their weapon of choice is the Kraalenskverta, which translates to claw sword. The Kraalenskverta is a sword with an unusually wide, not unlike a falchion, but with the tip bent backwards into the shape of a claw. This tip, whose inside is also sharpened, is used to hook weapons, shields and limbs. The particular weapon seen here is more ornate than usual, meaning it likely belongs to a pack leader of some power and renown. ---------- This is a redesign of something I came up with over 20 years ago, when I had no concept of weight and stuff. The original claw sword was essentially a solid block of steel with three bent and sharpened tips, emulating an animal's claws. However, since that would severely limit the attacks one could do with it (ignoring the fact that the weapon would probably weigh around 20~30 kg), so the redesign has an edge. I wasn't certain if I should put the edge along the "inside" or "outside", but went with the latter. So now the "claw" is the false edge of the blade.
