ith life in Snowdin being chilling for the residents and the many hunters that go out to take down a commissioned beast--many stop by the Comfort and Joy Inn for a grand, hot meal to aid them in their daily hunts. Lady Muffet, as keeper of the Inn, runs the business with open arms for helpers, hunters and travelers alike. She is naturally very kind and motherly to anyone who comes through her inn's doors and tends to cook the meals served herself. At times, teaching her employees how to make her special dishes when she isn't there to make them herself. Loved by many in Snowdin, she is seen with high respect with even the biggest hunters around halting their beef with one another when she gives order for them to stand down. Bar fights aren't something she tolerates, at least in HER inn--however there are very special occasions when she let's one take place, depending on just WHO the combatants are. Seen as a very busy woman, she is also a trades woman and often leaves town on her wagon to pulled by her loyal steed, Odkendov, a large Anteka bred like a Clydesdale horse in purpose of size and strength for long journeys in the bitter cold. With her Inn rivaled mainly by the Temmies' Canteen who have their own special dishes to draw in hunters, townsfolk and travelers alike, she takes it upon herself to pick out the best ingredients to keep her inn ahead. Especially, when it comes to the special mead she created that became the successing start of her business.

While she is known as the maiden of town with a very busy lifestyle, she has made quite a few friends in her time of town living--this including Fuku, the daughter of the town's Blacksmith--Grillby, and Alphys, the royal researcher that comes to town every now and then in her airship for supplies and tends to stick around for a while just to socialize and hear of any news as 'talk of the town' that she may have missed. Then of course, there are the known town hunters--two in particular of the high ranking and seen in high respects from their hunting accomplishments. Sans and Papyrus, both commonly coming by for the food and warm welcomes--especially the mead that the spider girl makes by hand herself. Through good food and drinks she's learned of practically everyone in town and made friendships with regular customers. However, while her current life status is a beloved and welcomed one, it didn't start out this way due to a hidden secret kept from the world itself and the darker past she once lived before being forced to take her new identity and life style. As a 'Mother of spiders', many spiders live around the inn, helping in clean up before and after business and taking care of any left overs so nothing goes to waste. However, many a times a few will present Muffet with particular little flowers at any given moment which she takes as a 'present' in front of others though the meaning behind them is much more grim...and a part of her past she has put behind her for the sake of not being found by the wrong people...

Long before her known identity as Snowdin's Maiden and a good time after her existence as her true self, she lived a shadier life as a part of a Brotherhood that took on commissions of murder. As a group of paid killers, Muffet was a well trained and self disciplined poison master. Agile and quick on her feet, her usual throwing knives and blades were coated in her poison concoctions that would quickly down her targets if her blades failed to. While the Brotherhood was kept secret from most, those who seeked their aid would make use of the unique flowers that grew in different parts of Valgustra at secretly known locations where the spiders lurked and listened. While the brotherhood was strong in both strength, magic and connections between one another--her life in the brotherhood would fall to a burning end when the Royal guards finally located their hideouts and took the guild out to leave nobody behind. Muffet was one of the lucky to have escaped and decided to change her life completely into more honest work--if only to keep herself hidden from the searching eyes of the law.
