With everything that is going on right now, I figured that now would be the perfect time to share a wholesome, cute drawing of an Oshawott dancing in the rain. Care to join them?
This took a little longer than expected to finish due to life getting in the way. Regardless, I'm surprised at myself for managing to finish the drawing up to the completion of the flat colors phase within several hours of starting it. (Not from scratch, mind you, as my starting point was after I added a majority of the layers I was going to use during the sketching phase as well as my references 2 days prior to me actually starting the drawing.) Even so, this was a pretty fast turnaround as I typically take 1 week + to finish a drawing, regardless of its simplicity or complexity. I had a lot of fun putting this together and putting my brain into high gear to get Oshawott's pose to work the way I wanted to. It all came down to shading them the right way in order to properly portray them dancing. When it came to the umbrella, I pulled it straight from my memory and winged it. I also winged it when it came to adding the key chain and the charm to the end of the umbrella's pole.
