🙥 Fried Sparkie with side dishes 🙧
The Sparkie is one of the bigger bugs and found throughout many parts of Atreia. Like its bigger cousin the sparkle, it emits light a bright yellow, green or blue light due to the luciferin pouches located on its rear. Both kinds of this big Arthropods, come in many variends, always well adjusted to their environments and highly symbiotic. Only half the size of the Sparkle, the Sparkie is mostly found airborne, but more often than not, found in the presents of the bigger Sparkle, that they were once to believed to be of the same kind, only with extreme sexual dimorphism, with the Sparike being the male and the the Sparkle the female representative of the species. This false belief is only upheld by those never handling or using these bugs for its many uses. The luciferin is widely used as a light source and the slimy sap of the Sparkie can be used in making detergents by mixing it with herbal powder. The eggs can be harvested from both species and burst in your mouth when bitten. Freshly served they are considered the caviar of the commoner.Thought to be a poor class food, the Sparkie made its appearance in even the noble establishments of the main city. With only its luciferin pouches removed, the whole bug then will be fried and presented as a juicy, rustic dish, mostly served with soy sauce and vegetable centered side dishes.
Puchida Salad - an easy, rather random salad of all available vegetables. Different leaf vegetables and cabbage types, onions, root vegetables, bell pepper, tomatoes, and even mushrooms. Even eggs can be added. When not served dry, the go to dressing is made from issued Raydam, sugar and natural water.
Chikra, a very versatile plant, found in Morheim and prefers temperate and warm, sandy ground. It doesn't need much water and is salt tolerant. Harvested and used for its cabbage like properties, it makes a very easy dish when sliced and stir fried with soy sauce.
Found in Morheim as well as Beluslan, the hardy Rogen can be used for its young grains, as well as its leaves and bulb, which has a very mild, watered down, onion like taste. Stir fried with soy sauce, the whole plant makes for a very easy side dish.
