Another from about 5 years ago, this one of my partner :3 To quote me again:
"Bit o' fan art!
Nooni is playing dead space on his streams, (he will be playing tonight around 7 or 8pm GMT if you fancy watching. https://www.twitch.tv/always_games_behind shamelessplugshamelessplug) so I thought I'd draw him in Isaacs armour XD

How'd I do it?:

-Sketched out shapes using dead space promo material as a reference.
-Painted in colours.
-Painted and blended in shading.
-Painted and blended lighting.
-Painted in fine details, fur texture, scratches, whiskers etc.
-Added texture images to add grit, grime and enhance fur texture, they are shaped, shaded over and I used the overlay and multiply layer settings.

I recently started playing with the method of photo bashing used in the professional industry to enhance my paintings. I treat it a bit more like 3D modeling rather than using photos to actually make my "geomentry" of my picture, I paint the picture out then I just use photos to add some extra detail and texture that would be nearly impossible to paint in with out a textured brush.

What do you guys think? Is it a better or worse result than JUST painted work? Or is it just different?"
