A gray horse stands in profile, facing to the viewer's right. It lifts its front foreleg and slightly arches its neck, its head perpendicular to the ground. Its coat is lightly dappled and has white socks on every leg. It has a stylized, almost wood-carved look to the curling light brown tail. The mane is cut short, or roached. It was not the most common style on carousels but it was popular on carousel horses decorated in military themes.

This horse is more simply adorned, with a shiny lavender blanket under a pearlescent sky blue saddle. There are decorative spread feathers at the chestplate and behind the cantle. Thick dark blue ribbons hang like garlands across the length of the horse.
