A clematis symbolise mental beauty and ingenuity. Purple clematises add the meaning of royalty and aspiration as well. Aside of the description of "royalty", all these meanings describe the intelligent and ever-curious Dren very well.

Btw: this drawing is almost 2 years old now and since then, Dren received a well-deserved make-over.
Also, since then I've also grown clematis myself! Turns out they're supposed to by a way darker shade of purple. Oops.
