I'm currently downloading some of my higher-quality art from DA. I'm seriously considering deactivating my account from there but I dunno yet. I've been there for roughly 12 years and it only seems to be going downhill. Like there was a time when the admins seemed like they really cared about the community. But now? Not so much. I kinda started to notice just before they decided to sell out to Wix.
I really miss the sense of community DA used to have. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. A lot of the people I used to watch have completely left and/or just abandoned the site. I've seen potential art-sharing sites pop up here and there but they all seem to just fall flat. I'm really hoping that InkBlot doesn't end up the same way.
I truly do see the potential here and want to see it flourish. I especially love the aspect that this place supports actual artists and hasn't sold its soul to the AI art thing that many people have been dreading.>>; Seeing more artists come to this site does give me hope. I know I shouldn't let my guard down in case something does happen to IB. But, god dang it, I really think artists deserve to have a safe space where they can post and share their art, and this place seems to be that one beacon of hope.
Yes, I'm sounding really cheesy and dramatic. But I can't help but vent about it. Anyway, I should probably stop right here since this post has become kinda long. But what do you think?
