So, last lineup of finnish inspired digimon! First one is Hiisimon, the nicer but still mischievious vaccine type Puppet digimon that loves music, everything from childrens nursery rhymes to pop to hard rock, it absolutely loves. It can often be seen entertaining In-training digimon. It's not the best at fighting, moving fairly slowly, but its attack "Boom Boom Tornado" packs a punch!
I was inspired in part by toys that play music, and more commercial and/or less specialized music channels in the radio. Not much to say about Hiisimon.
The Champion SongSwanmon is the non-armored variant of Swanmon, and has a harsher outlook on life and the world. While still kind and gentle, SongSwanmon is often known to be listful and melancholic. It's attack "Swan song aria" is a melancholic song of longing and loss, that depletes SongSwanmon's enemy of its fighting spirit. If that doesn't work, SongSwanmon finishes its enemy with "Ultima Thule", a burst of sound and gust of air that rips its enemy to shreds.
I was inspired by two things, both of which are swans; Cygnus Cygnus, or Whooper Swan, which in finnish is known as "laulujoutsen" or "song swan" and Tuonelan joutsen, a swan that swam in the river that lead to the underworld Tuonela and that Lemminkäinen was sent by Louhi to kill, but Lemminkäinen fails and dies. Hence the black skull on SongSwanmon. Cygnus Cygnus is also the national bird of Finland. SongSwanmon's attack "Ultima Thule" is named after a book that revitalized the cygnus cygnus population and spearheaded endangered animal protection.
And the reason why SongSwanmon's songs are melancholic and sort of depressing is that most known finnish music that is sung in finnish has that sort of melancholy to it, such as Yö's Joutsenlaulu, almost everything by Leevi & The Leavings, or Eppu Normaali.
