For this dragon, I really wanted to lean into the flat feel that stingrays have going on, at least for the face. It's always a challenge to strike a balance between my designs looking like a dragon and not just the inspiration or just a dragon, and lately I feel like my dragons have tended heavily towards "just dragons'. I'm happier with the balance in this dragon for sure!
