the struggle of knowing I have ocs who would be insanely popular with fandom if they had popular media that featured them but also being terribly aware of how Troist would be subject to the widespread adoption of the most egregious mischaracterization that either ignores or severely misrepresents everything that makes him compelling as a character and I am in no way prepared to deal with his flaws and hubris being watered down to minor quirks if not erased
