An old YCH commission from 2018 for Haechii from DA where I really started to push myself for realism and understanding things like fur and creating more real-like images. It wasn't perfect, still isn't but overall, despite the age of the illustration now, it is one of my favorites.
There are issues with anatomy here, especially in the face and I lacked understanding on bounce lighting or...well...how to properly light anything at that point. I do remember in 2018 was when I picked up the immense desire to simply try and be better! I was inspired to push myself, started things like DAB (albiet became frustrated, dropped it and picked up again in late 2019) and overall went hardcore in study mode because I wanted to understand what I was doing wrong. Even back then I could feel that though things often felt "cool" in what I did, I was not satisfied with them because they weren't reaching the level I desired.
However, that being said, this was and is probably one of my best, especially for before I took a deeper dive into studies. I still see many good things about this piece and still enjoy it to this day despite its imperfections and inaccuracies.
