I wouldn't be me if I hadn't made my own character for this. Here's my Lion Leaguer, Hóng Zhǎo.
Chinese martial arts (And more specially southern Chinese Lion Dance) were a huge part of my teenage years and marked me deeply. I thought making a leaguer would be a proper tribute to the lessons I learned back then.

**"But wait, aren't lion dancer supposed to come in pairs?" **
True, Zhao had a twin brother (literally the same as him but without the braid) that got "forcefully deactivated" by Dark Prince's Lions mid tournament. He saved Zhao in the very last minute and in the panic the small leaguer escaped the place before not only they'd scrapped his brother but also catch him and dismantle him (Twin leaguers can't work without their other half).
Years later another stray leaguer (Sonic Rapier) would find him in a very bad shape and take him along. They live together since then.
