Salems love interest, Draiden Boyd. The sage of emotion, a duty that is often overlooked due to the title sounding silly and unserious. He and Salem work together to keep the crowned prince safe from his parents, as they have been trying to destroy his emotions to ensure that he continues the iron fist ruling, or in their words, "Rule without anything clouding his judgment." Which we all know is a load of bullshit lol. Draiden himself can help level out everyone's emotions and can see their auras, which will tell him how one person is doing or if their among those who have lost their emotions due to any type of trauma they have endured. Often times when people around him are grieving in some way, he feels it nearly twice as much and has to go to another room before it gets to him. To other sages he's an absolute softie, but in reality, he's one of the strongest, mentally and emotionally at least. Physically, he doesn't like to fight. It takes a lot to even get him to consider it, and even more to make him angry. One fateful day manages to bring him to his breaking point however. Salem sacrificed herself to protect Draiden from the guards who were trying to kill him because be continued to deny the king and queens request of taking their sons emotions. When she dropped to the ground, Draiden finally lost his mind and let out a horrible and pained roar that shook the castle, and he continued screaming as his magic came and went in waves while tearing the castle apart. Rumor has it his heart gave out from the grief of losing the only woman he loved, but then again, neither bodies were ever found, even when search parties tried to go through the ruble of the demolished castle.
