Like many, many others I too tried to make Fakemon for the Mazah Region a wonderful community project with Subjectively that is being turned into its own fangame by a group of very talented and kind people. In response to this contest Subjectively held a contest to put more Pokemon into this game, as I love Pokemon I went to work!

Meet Matchstink, the heated stinkbug Pokemon, bug/fire. It was alot of fun to do a bug type, as I'm not a huge fan of most of them, so I wanted to make one that I would like. Matchstink is based off the fact that in south america, and actually many places in the world, bugs are a delicacy, stinkbugs being no exception, a clever pun I decided to make the token attenae of the stinkbug the countdown to it being cooked, and lore wise it using fire type moves is what eventually can end its time, and cause it to evolve with the right training.

There signature move Foul Flame is so smelly it can cause others to flinch with 30% chance. I dunno if this is broken but I thought it was fun, so far there is a lack of Fire moves that cause flinch condition.

I didn't end up winning the contest, but I still like my design enough to show them off~
