Meet Eclipse, an OC I made 3.. or 4... maybe even 5 years ago! He came into being as an rp character for my friends, and I've slapped him into various worlds and universes since, but he DID start out in Monster Hunter, and, funnily enough, Dragon Quest Builders 2.

With my partner eyeing the Borderlands tabletop, Bunkers and Badasses, I wanted to use a custom character for it! (Not for the very first game. We're going to default character the first game as a trial) It didn't take long for me to remember that my friend group has a Borderlands AU for some of our characters, but guess who never got in?
This asshat o' mine.

So, I took the time to draw him in as similar to Borderlands style as I could, gave him his new government assigned backstory, and here he is!
Granted, he still needs a shirt of some sort but I left him bare up top to show off his scars, and so I have the power to slap whatever clothing I want on him.
Plus he's very hot and deserves to show it off a bit.

This took me literal ages to draw, whoops.

Oh. About him in general.

Man is a bounty hunter, for fun and for profit. Specializes in assault rifles, sniper rifles, and, his personal favorite, a huge ass blade he carries on him that can basically swiss army itself into an even LONGER blade.

Somepoint between the timeliness of BL1 and BL2, as Jack rose into power, Eclipse got snagged into a trap and got transported to the Wildlife Exploitation Reserve. He wasn't in there for too too long, thankfully, thanks to someone absolutely off their rocker busting out, destroying the facility (for thr most part).

Eclipse did NOT get out unscathed, and none of the scars he has are actually from this ordeal. Oh no, he got those from his various hunts. Due to the experimentations, he has to wear that respirator mask you see in the first image. But it's not for him.
The scientists turned Eclipse into a walking, talking slag smog machine. He's constantly breathing out a sickly purple haze that can quickly fill a room and make everyone in it sick.

That respirator keeps that haze in check while he's in public. He also has a medicine that he got developed that he takes, via inhaler, to breathe normally for a couple hours.

It's not all bad, though. He absolutely uses the slag gas in a fight, as a way to conceal himself, and to weaken/distract his opponents so he can get some brutal hits in.

The names Maeve and Haru shown on his tattoo are a couple of his partners who are currently off planet.
Hooooowever, his tattoo also changes everytime Eclipse goes through a New-U station. Man has a tattoo loadout and it's super funny
