You may be thinking "wow, that thing's shell has cool markings"- and you'd be wrong. Those black and yellow markings are actually on the flamingo tongue snail's "mantle", an external "body wall" (which is basically skin+layers of tissue that live beneath it) and the shell itself is a plain cream! I had absolutely no idea this was a thing, so now I must educate you too. :3 ...hopefully this wasn't already common knowledge. XD **Like what you see?
