**Bio**
Abby was born into poverty. Although he didn’t have much growing up, his parents did the best they could for “Abigail” in his early childhood. This was enough for him, but relationships with his parents would be strained later in life. Age 12 was around the time he started to express symptoms of gender dysphoria, often preferring boys toys wearing boy attire such as shorts/pants, and found doing more boy oriented activities. This did not go unnoticed by his parents and they often chastised him for his boyish habits and forcefully made “Abigail” attend more girl related activities, which often ended with a shouting match with his parents. By high school Abby had been fed up with his parents pushing their expectations of gender onto him, so he started to act out in typical teenage rebellion. Around this time he had found friends who were more accepting of his identity, and in that moment he was nicknamed Abby by said friends, a more boyish name. Naively Abby thought he had finally found people who he could call family, unknown to the kinds of manipulation he’d soon be subjected to. At first he was down for anything his friends would boast about, including drinking, smoking, and ditching school in order to impress them. Not long after Abby would face the wrath of his parents, the truant officer had paid a visit, along with multiple call complaints from the school about Abby’s recent behavior. The relationship with his parents were fragile at this point. He was disciplined swiftly, which was around the time they started to verbally abuse him intensely over his trans behaviors [ disowned ]. With no where else to go Abby had run to his friends.
However they would get up to more dangerous activities including gang violence and drug dealing, which Abby was afraid of, but felt alone without them. He was convinced by his friends that his parents would never love or accept him, so they were his only family now. Abby in all his vulnerable distress easily gave into their emotional manipulation and soon found himself running errands for the gang he was initiated into. Abby didn’t enjoy most of what he was told to do, but he did it anyways, afraid to be abandoned out on the street alone.
One thing had led to another, and so this was how he had eventually gotten involved with Scourge. Easily impressed by the hedgehog’s accomplishments and flirtatious charm, Abby didn’t hesitate to accept the invite into Scourge’s own personal circle. During this period Scourge had manipulated Abby to do all sorts of vulgar things, increasing feelings of depression and suicide in Abby. Scourge subjected the poor guy to his sexual whims, manipulating him with *I love you* remarks. When Abby did have the gall to refuse anything Scourge would ask of him, he had gotten beaten for it. Often times Scourge would rule over Abby through fear of physical violence.
Being affiliated with The Suppression Squad, Abby found himself coming to blows with The Freedom Fighters time and time again, sometimes getting captured and detained in the process. During these times of detention Abby would find himself observing their behavior, watching how they treated one another like real comrades. They had even shown him sympathy and forgiveness of all things and sparked something in him. This had Abby thinking long and hard about his own situation, wondering how his life had gone so wrong.
