_"The Worgen Huntress realized a moment too late that she was being followed. Within mere seconds, the tall mysterious stranger instantly appeared out of nowhere. In a passionate manner, he snatched her around and carefully pinned her back slightly against the rocky ivy-covered tunnel wall. He gently placed a long, gnarled index finger under her furry chin to subtly shift her gaze up to his. "Fancy meeting you here," he said eagerly with a delighted grin. Pheonixx could feel herself blushing as she shyly tilted her canine-like head in a flirtatious manner. This mysterious stalker was no stranger at all, but in fact her beloved husband, Sneaky Pete."_
Every time I ride through the secluded tunnel in Korthia; I naturally imagine Pete and Phe undoubtedly having a secret rendezvous there. Initially, a different camera angle was tentatively planned for a more private and enclosed feel. Ultimately, that idea was scrapped for I wanted to indicate a more proper understanding of the scene's location.
The glowing mushrooms are my own doing, as they do not glow in-game. I sincerely feel as if this was a missed opportunity for Blizzard to add a little more personality to the fungi of Korthia. There is, after all some other plant life in the area that does give off a gentle glow of sorts.
I primarily produced this to shake some of the rust off that might have possibly formed during the turbulent month and a half-long struggle with my last artwork. The art itself isn't what inadvertently caused the personal struggle, but the mental state I was in at the time. My mental state is indeed healthier, but even this specific piece took longer than it should typically have. There are 3D WoW Blender artists, who are just as good as I am if not more superior. They produce 4 to 5 works in the time it typically takes me to make one single piece. This disheartens me to no end, as there are so many creative ideas floating around in my overactive brain, and I can't get them out fast enough.
Someone indicated this piece has a Halloween feel, I do agree as Korthia gives off autumn vibes.
