Commander Adrexolai, during the events of the Icebrood Saga, was shot in the eye by an arrow enchanted with fire from a bow that could chip Jormag's icy fang. Rushed to Aurene's sanctuary in the Eye of the North, he recovered in a deep sleep within the scrying pool, where he learned of the fate of his General, Almorra Soulkeeper of the Vigil. He trained within that dream, reliving her death over and over, fighting with her until he learned her skills, learned how she fought, and regained consciousness not only with his own fire having consumed that of the arrow's, but on the path for revenge. He would give his general peace in death, using her swords and her flames to defeat her murderer, Bangar Ruinbringer, who happened to also be the one who fired that arrow.
