It's weird to think not only that this painting is fromnearly three years ago, but that I can see ways in which I might improve it even now. But It's not helpful to dwell on the past. Fire Emblem: Three Houses was easily my Game of the Year for 2019/2020 and I wanted to paint a portrait of my favorite lord to celebrate it. This piece draws inspiration in many ways from a royal portrait of the late Queen Elizabeth II by the late Leonard Boden.
