An old coloring contest entry by a DeviantArt user who no longer exists. I don't have any intention of joining in, but make an excuse to try and create a portrait in the style of the ZX Spectrum microcomputer. Ever wonder why it's so blocky, is because the Speccy is limited to 2 colors per 8x8px tile.

The non-speccy-looking pic is the original (albeit downscaled), the green mermaid is a failed conversion of the Spectrum, losing most of the details, and the one on display is the final version.
