This was a personal piece. I grew up on a farm in texas and this horse grew up with me. I was 5 when he was born and my mother got him. He passed last year and my mother didn't tell me I won't get into that. But I drew him and attempted a background. I like to believe I've gotten a bit better at backgrounds so I might attempt a redraw.
