An OC from one of my stories, *Logic Eternity*. Esther Hertz is a "Deduction Officer", an investigator who is hired by the police to solve crimes, like her colleagues Malcolm Ohm and Ursula Providence. Esther left her family due to personal disagreements and lives by herself. She comes from an Orthodox Jewish family, but isn't very observant. While working as a deduction officer, she is very humble and polite and tries to stay out of the police's way. She's also extremely intelligent, having graduated college at 18, but due to her humility, she often underestimates herself. Ursula sees her as a rival, while Malcolm is just impressed. Esther doesn't express any negative feelings toward Malcolm and Ursula, even offering to buy them coffee.
